David Adams

David Adams is Senior Vice President, Operations and Support, for Sterling Commerce, responsible for delivering all customer-facing systems and networks. Adams will be the the driving force behind the company’s efforts in becoming a customer-centric organization.

Prior to taking this post, Adams was headed up the company’s Service Delivery organization, including Professional Services, Managed Services, and Education Services. Before joining Sterling Commerce, Adams worked in the technology and customer delivery industry for 22 years in a variety of technology management positions.

After starting his career with Wallace Business Forms and Unisys, Adams progressed up the technology management ranks with Viata Corporation, Hall-Mark Electronics, and Lomas and Nettleton Information Systems. Adams took a business management assignment at Checktronic, leading the turnaround and sale of the company. At Fujitsu ICL Systems, Adams had P&L responsibility for delivering e-commerce, infrastructure management, and software support and call center solutions in addition to leading the IT organization. At SCA Technologies, a technology services company, Adams led the customer delivery, through defined project management methodologies and disciplines, of supply chain, ERP, relationship management, and e-business solutions.

Adams holds a business degree in marketing from the University of Texas-Arlington.
