Retiring Services and Adapters

For release 4.0, many retired services and adapters are still available without the necessity to reinstall the service or adapter. However, for future releases, these services or adapters will not be accessible in Gentran Integration Suite.

Caution: For release 4.0, you can still access retiring services and adapters in Gentran Integration Suite and the GPM. However, to ensure that you are using the components with the most capabilities, it is recommended that you use the new services and adapters that are replacing them instead.

The following table provides information about these retired services and adapters, the new service or adapter that replaces the retired service or adapter, and the benefits of using the new service or adapter:

Impact of Retiring Services on your Business Processes

We strongly encourage you to plan to migrate to the replacement service or adapter in your business processes as soon as possible. That is, you need to evaluate which of your current business process models employ the retiring services and adapters and then begin to edit and replace them. Detailed instructions for managing the migration of new services and adapters will be available in future releases. For this release, consider the impact of the retiring or removed services and adapters provided in the table in Retiring Services and Adapters and develop your plan to migrate your business processes towards the new services and adapters.
