Connect:Direct Select
IBM® Sterling Connect:Direct® Select provides managed, assured data delivery for occasional users who need to exchange files with a single Sterling Connect:Direct server. Easy as e-mail, it offers:
- Bi-directional data delivery—The file transfer can be initiated by either Sterling Connect:Direct Select or a Sterling Connect:Direct server. When initiated by Sterling Connect:Direct Select the file transfer may be pushed or pulled between the two nodes. When initiated by a Sterling Connect:Direct server, a file may be pushed to Sterling Connect:Direct Select., or a trigger file can be sent to Sterling Connect:Direct Select to initiate a transfer back to the Sterling Connect:Direct server.
- Unattended operation—Set up send/receive operations using easy-to-define processing parameters.
- Rules-based processing—E-mail gateway and watch directory file support are included for automating file handling with multiple sources and destinations. Match rules can be defined to automate the processing of files found in the watch directory or received via e-mail.
- Assured data delivery with performance—Guard against network interruptions and power outages with checkpoint/restart and extended compression.
- Process automation—A RUNJOB, RUNTASK or an operating system command can be run prior to or after a file transfer. Sterling Connect:Direct Select can also SUBMIT processes on a Sterling Connect:Direct server.
- Optional pre-configuration—Pre-configure Sterling Connect:Direct Select for distribution to remote locations for ease of use and customization.
- Fail over IP connection—Define a secondary Sterling Connect:Direct server for disaster recovery.
- Data security—Sterling Connect:Direct Secure Plus Option for data encryption and authentication can be purchased separately to run with Sterling Connect:Direct Select.
