Teijken brought on board to improve customer profitability by streamlining customers’ extended manufacturing operations
LONDON – December 10 2007 – Sterling Commerce, an AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) subsidiary, has appointed Ronald Teijken as Industry Executive for manufacturing operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Teijken will be based in Sterling Commerce’s offices in Amsterdam.
With over 20 years of experience in major global manufacturing and software industries, Teijken will be responsible for the continued development of Sterling Commerce’s portfolio of business process integration, multi-channel selling, and supply chain fulfillment solutions designed to meet customer and industry requirements.
Teijken has focused on logistics and production throughout his career and joins the company from Hyva Group BV, an international manufacturer of hydraulic systems, where he was responsible for global supply chain management.
Teijken believes one of the biggest challenges affecting manufacturers today is a lack of integration with business partners, and poor visibility of global operations. He said: “Many manufacturing companies are focused on the internal processes rather than on automating communications with their external business partners. Sterling Commerce provides excellent solutions to address these needs and I look forward to helping our manufacturing customers become more flexible, agile and competitive.”
Dave Robinson, Senior VP International Field Operations, Sterling Commerce, said of the appointment: “Ronald brings a unique combination of business and IT knowledge to the role. His experience and insight will help us to clearly communicate our expertise in delivering competitive advantage to European manufacturers by increasing integration and visibility across the industry. He is a welcome addition to the Sterling Commerce EMEA marketing team and I look forward to working closely with him.”
Prior to Hyva Group, Ronald Teijken worked at Baan Company (Invensys Plc, SSA Global, Infor), where he held several management and global product marketing roles. Before joining Baan, Teijken held several management positions within Fokker Aircraft.
Teijken has a Bachelor Degree in Transport, Engineering and Logistics from Tilburg University and is an active member of the Association for Logistics Management (vLm) in the Netherlands.
